Meet the Minister of Energy, Lithuania

Like Sweden, Lithuania is expected to exceed its EU obligation of renewable energy production by 2020. Meanwhile, other countries such as Luxemburg, expect to fail. Therefore, in a pioneering example of bilateral cooperation Lithuania and Luxemburg have signed an agreement for target compliance purposes, foreseeing the statistical transfers of energy from renewable sources.
What opportunities can such agreements offer the wind energy business? And what are some lessons learned for other countries who might be considering doing the same? Will cooperation mechanisms play an important role for reaching the new Renewable energy target to 2030?
The seminar also discusses the renewed National Energy Independence Strategy of Lithuania. What opportunities can increased cooperation in the Baltic Sea area offer the wind energy industry?
